1. Acceptance and eligibility

By downloading, installing, accessing, purchasing, restoring, or using Piko or this website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Piko.

You must be legally capable of entering into these Terms. If you are a minor where you live, a parent or legal guardian must provide the permission and supervision required by applicable law and platform rules.

If you use Piko on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization. In that case, “you” includes the organization where applicable.

2. The current Piko service

Piko is an offline-first personal scheduler, notes, Reminder, Alarm, Android location-trigger, and Timer application. The current main panels are Home, Notes, Schedules, Calendar, Insights, and Timer.

Depending on the installed version and supported device, Piko may provide:

  • typed and voice-assisted Home input for Reminders, Alarms, Timers, and location-trigger candidates;
  • rich-text Notes, Checklists, Task Lists, attachments, Notebooks, Tags, archive, Trash, and saved Multiview workspaces;
  • occurrence-aware schedules, recurrence, conflict indicators, pause, snooze, reschedule, completion, and history;
  • local Calendar projections and local Insights and Patterns;
  • a persisted Timer engine with presets, intervals, history, and Android notifications;
  • Android Reminder, Alarm, location, lock-screen, overlay, widget, and launcher integrations;
  • local import/export and optional private Google Drive app-data backup or sync; and
  • optional Piko Pro products through a supported platform store.

Features described as conditional require platform support, credentials, an account connection, a real store product, or an Android system setting. OS-managed features remain controlled by Android or the device manufacturer. Features displayed as coming soon are not part of the current service and are not promised by these Terms.

Current integration boundary

The Calendar panel currently displays Piko’s local schedules. The current production Google Calendar provider is not configured, and Piko does not request device-calendar database access. A Timer-specific floating overlay over other apps is also not currently implemented.

3. Local-first operation and your responsibilities

Piko’s primary data is stored in a local Drift/SQLite database and local preferences on your device. Core local use does not require a Piko account or a cloud AI service.

You are responsible for:

  • protecting your device, screen lock, operating-system account, and local app data;
  • checking the title, date, time, timezone, recurrence, duration, location, radius, and alert settings before relying on an item;
  • maintaining appropriate independent backups of important information;
  • protecting exported files, Drive access, and any encryption passphrase; and
  • keeping Android, Google Play Services, Piko, and relevant permissions or system settings in a usable state.

Uninstalling Piko, clearing app storage, device loss, storage corruption, a failed transfer, or replacing data during restore can remove local information. Piko provides backup and validation tools, but no backup method is guaranteed.

4. License and ownership

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and non-sublicensable license to install and use Piko on supported devices you own or control for lawful personal or internal business purposes.

Piko’s software, source and object code, design, interface, animations, graphics, mascot, logo, branding, documentation, and other materials—excluding Your Content and third-party materials—are owned by Manthan Prajapati or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws.

Except where applicable law or an open-source license expressly permits it, you may not copy, sell, rent, sublicense, distribute, publicly display, reverse engineer, decompile, modify, create derivative works from, bypass protections in, or attempt to extract Piko’s source code.

Open-source components and third-party data, including OpenStreetMap data, remain subject to their own licenses and notices.

5. Your content and linked records

You retain ownership of the reminders, alarm titles, supported task rows, Notes, Checklists, Task Lists, attachments, Home command text, timer labels and history, saved places, location-trigger configurations, exports, and other content you create or import into Piko (“Your Content”).

You are responsible for Your Content and must have the right to create, import, store, process, export, open, share, or back it up. Do not use Piko to create, store, distribute, or transmit unlawful, infringing, abusive, deceptive, or malicious content.

You grant us only the limited rights necessary to process Your Content to provide a feature you request—for example, displaying a Note, scheduling an alert, registering a geofence, creating an export, or uploading selected categories to your private Drive app-data area.

Linked content remains a relationship between real records. Removing a link does not delete the source Note or list. Deleting, trashing, archiving, or making source content unavailable may cause Piko to show an unavailable state rather than reconstruct old text.

Piko is not a document escrow, records-management, or legal-retention service. Keep independent copies of content that must be preserved.

6. Typed commands, voice input, and location triggers

Typed commands

Piko’s typed parser is rule-based and runs on your device. It supports defined scheduling fields but does not understand every phrase or intention. You must review all clarification and confirmation details before saving.

Home commands currently create Reminders and Alarms, start a Timer when a valid duration is resolved, or prepare a supported location-trigger candidate. General management commands such as edit, delete, complete, pause, resume, stop, restart, query, or cancel are handled through direct UI actions.

Voice input

Voice input uses the phone’s speech-recognition service after you start it and grant the necessary access. Transcription may be inaccurate. Piko places the resulting transcript in the input and does not auto-send it; you are responsible for reviewing and sending it. The speech provider’s terms and privacy policy also apply.

Location triggers

The current Location Trigger workflow is Android-focused. It can use Google Play Services geofencing and an OpenStreetMap picker for arrival, leave, nearby, and supported dwell behavior. You are responsible for selecting the correct point, radius, condition, recurrence, and notification behavior.

Location triggers can be delayed, missed, duplicated, or unavailable because of permission state, background restrictions, inaccurate or unavailable location, device movement, network conditions, Play Services behavior, reboot recovery, or operating-system and manufacturer behavior.

7. Permissions, notifications, and OS-managed behavior

Some features require notifications, exact-alarm access, full-screen alert access, display-over-other-apps access, Do Not Disturb policy access, a battery reliability setting, Location, or Microphone permission. Piko can inspect relevant state and open system settings, but Android and your device manufacturer make the final decision.

You may deny or revoke permissions. When access is off:

  • the related feature may be unavailable, delayed, reduced, or replaced by a normal notification fallback;
  • local schedules, Notes, and manual controls generally remain available; and
  • Piko may show limited readiness or a setup path rather than pretending the feature is active.

Notification, full-screen, overlay, widget, and lock-screen surfaces can reveal schedule titles, times, status, and actions to anyone who can view your device. Review Android’s lock-screen privacy controls and Piko’s widget options. Reminder follow-up payloads are designed to exclude Note bodies and list-row text, but ordinary schedule metadata may still be visible.

Piko does not declare broad shared-storage, camera, contacts, phone, SMS, or device-calendar permission in the current Android manifest.

8. Google Drive, attachments, backup, import, export, and restore

Google Drive

Google Drive is optional and requires valid configuration, your explicit connection, and Google consent. Piko requests only https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.appdata, which is limited to Piko’s own private app-data files and does not allow Piko to browse ordinary Drive files.

Piko may upload selected categories, maintain incremental snapshots and a backup index, perform Sync now or optional automatic upload after local changes, import or delete Piko backups, and support optional passphrase-encrypted backups. Automatic Drive work is upload/backup only; download, merge, replace, and restore require an explicit action.

Local files and attachments

Piko uses system file flows, scoped MediaStore, and temporary open/share grants instead of broad shared-storage access. Files may include Notes attachments, .pikozip and .pikoenc backups, JSON or text imports, JSON/CSV exports, and HTML/PDF summaries.

Restore decisions

Structured restore is previewed and validated before writing and requires an explicit Merge or Replace policy. Replace can overwrite local data. Piko may create a safety backup first, but you remain responsible for reviewing the preview and keeping independent copies.

Exported, opened, or shared files leave Piko’s private app storage and become subject to the destination’s security, retention, and terms. Keep passphrases separate and secure. Losing an encryption passphrase can make an encrypted backup unrecoverable.

9. Piko Pro, purchases, and platform-store billing

Piko can display Free, Pro, trial, grace, and expired entitlement states. The current integration loads only monthly (piko_pro_monthly) and yearly (piko_pro_yearly) products and supports Purchase and Restore purchases when a supported platform store and real products are available.

Manual editing, local data, privacy controls, and basic export remain available without a subscription. The exact benefits included in a Piko Pro offer are those shown in Piko and by the platform store before purchase.

Price, billing, and renewal

The store displays the current price, currency, tax, billing period, renewal or prepaid terms, trial or promotional terms, and payment method before you confirm. Any auto-renewing subscription renews under the terms shown by the store until cancelled or otherwise ended.

Management and cancellation

You can manage or cancel a subscription through the platform store’s subscription settings. Uninstalling Piko does not cancel a subscription. Cancellation normally stops future renewal while access continues through the paid period, subject to the store’s terms and applicable law.

Restore, failed payment, refunds, and changes

Restore purchases attempts to recover an eligible entitlement associated with the relevant store account. A failed, reversed, refunded, or disputed payment may place access into trial, grace, expired, restricted, or revoked state.

Refund eligibility and processing are governed by the platform store, applicable law, and any additional publisher policy. Cancelling does not automatically create a refund. We may change future Piko Pro features or prices, with any required notice, consent, and timing handled through the store and applicable law.

If billing or products are unavailable, Piko reports that state and does not simulate a purchase.

10. Reminder, Alarm, Timer, location, and safety disclaimer

Do not rely on Piko as your only critical alert or record.

Piko is a general productivity tool, not an emergency, medical, security, navigation, legal-compliance, financial-control, industrial-control, or safety system.

Reminder, Alarm, Timer, notification, widget, and location delivery can be affected by circumstances outside Piko’s control, including:

  • device shutdown, restart, sleep, a dead battery, hardware failure, or storage corruption;
  • incorrect clock, timezone, daylight-saving, locale, or calendar settings;
  • revoked or missing permissions, Do Not Disturb, notification channels, full-screen restrictions, overlay restrictions, or lock-screen policy;
  • Android, OEM, battery-optimization, background-start, and process-management behavior;
  • unavailable or inaccurate location, missed geofence transitions, maps or Play Services failure;
  • network, Google, speech-service, platform-store, or provider outages; and
  • software errors, stale data, conflicting schedules, or user configuration mistakes.

Use an independent backup reminder or professional system for medication, medical care, travel, examinations, legal deadlines, financial obligations, workplace safety, emergency response, security, or any event where a missed, late, inaccurate, or inaccessible alert could cause injury, loss, liability, or serious harm.

Hardware Volume-key Alarm or Timer behavior applies only in the supported active alert state and may differ across devices. Screen-off or Power-button events do not necessarily snooze or end an Alarm.

11. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use Piko in violation of law, these Terms, a provider’s terms, or another person’s rights;
  • create, import, export, attach, open, share, or store malware, unlawful material, harassment, threats, abuse, deception, or infringing content;
  • probe, scan, overload, disrupt, attack, disable, or interfere with Piko, Google services, billing, authentication, maps, notifications, sync, or hosting;
  • circumvent subscriptions, entitlements, permissions, security controls, store rules, quotas, or technical restrictions;
  • misrepresent your identity, authority, account ownership, location, purchase, or entitlement;
  • use Piko to operate life-support, emergency-dispatch, medical-monitoring, public-safety, security-critical, industrial-control, or other high-risk systems; or
  • assist another person in doing any of the above.

12. Third-party services and materials

Piko may interoperate with Android, Google Play Services, Google Sign-In, Google Drive, a supported platform store, the phone’s speech service, OpenStreetMap or another configured tile service, email, file-sharing destinations, and website hosting or security providers.

Third-party services are not controlled by us. Their availability, eligibility, content, account decisions, data handling, billing, refunds, outages, technical limits, and policy changes are governed by their own terms. You are also responsible for any network, carrier, data, roaming, platform, or third-party charges.

OpenStreetMap data and services are provided under their own licenses, attribution requirements, acceptable-use rules, and privacy policies. Map availability is not guaranteed.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for independent third-party acts or omissions.

13. Updates, changes, compatibility, and availability

We may update Piko to add, change, repair, restrict, or remove features; improve performance or accessibility; respond to security, compatibility, provider, platform, or legal requirements; or discontinue unsupported behavior.

Some updates may be required for connected features, billing, backup formats, notification behavior, or platform compatibility. We do not promise that Piko, a particular route, setting, provider, export format, or OS integration will always remain available, uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device.

We may set reasonable technical limits, stop supporting an operating-system version, remove an unconfigured or unavailable provider, or end the service. Where reasonably practicable and legally required, we will provide notice of material discontinuation.

14. Ending use, suspension, and data removal

You may stop using Piko at any time. You can delete supported local records, use Delete all data, clear app storage, or uninstall Piko; separately remove exported files; disconnect and delete Drive backups; revoke Google authorization; and manage or cancel subscriptions through the platform store.

We may suspend or terminate access to connected or paid features if you materially violate these Terms, interfere with security or billing, use a service unlawfully, create legal or technical risk, or if a provider, platform, or law requires it. Where appropriate, we will try to provide notice and an opportunity to address the issue.

Ending use or entitlement does not automatically delete local device data, exported files, Drive app data, provider records, or subscription records. Use the relevant controls for each location.

Sections that by their nature should survive—including ownership, content responsibility, safety warnings, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute provisions—will survive termination.

15. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Piko and this website are provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, quiet enjoyment, non-infringement, data preservation, compatibility, and that Piko will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, error-free, or meet your requirements.

We do not warrant that parsing, transcription, recurrence generation, conflict detection, alarm timing, geofencing, backup, restore, export, sync, entitlement, or notification results will always be complete or correct.

Nothing in these Terms excludes any warranty, guarantee, remedy, or consumer right that cannot legally be excluded.

16. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Manthan Prajapati and its affiliates, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; loss or corruption of data; loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, opportunity, or business; missed appointments, alarms, deadlines, transitions, or payments; personal or property loss; or the cost of substitute services arising from or related to Piko.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for claims arising from Piko will not exceed the greater of: (a) the amount you paid for Piko during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim; or (b) the equivalent of USD 25 in your local currency.

These limits do not apply where prohibited by law or to liability that cannot legally be limited, including liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by negligence where applicable.

17. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to mandatory consumer-protection law, courts with jurisdiction in Madhya Pradesh, India will have jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms or Piko.

If you are a consumer, this choice does not remove any mandatory rights or forum available under applicable consumer law. Before filing a formal claim, contact frontiertech.one@gmail.com and give us a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue informally.

18. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect implemented product changes, connected services, platform rules, legal developments, security needs, or risk controls. The revised Terms will be posted at this URL with an updated date. If a change is material, we will provide additional notice when reasonably required.

Continuing to use Piko after updated Terms take effect means you accept them, except where applicable law requires a different form of notice or consent.
